[Hospal/Cobe
Laboratories, Inc., USA./France
(Represents Hemodialysis and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy
System.)
The Kidneys cleanse blood of waste products & removes excess fluids from
the body. If the kidneys fail, all of these functions mist be replaced. This is
done with a procedure called dialysis.
Hemodialysis is the most common form of dialysis treatment. In Hemodialysis
the blood is transported through tubing to cleanse and removes excess fluids in
an artificial kidney, a Dialyzer. A dialysis machine monitors and controls the
entire process.

and needles for single-needle dialysis represent the perfect synthesis of
clinical experience, high technology and production know -how.
The optimum bevel geometry and outstanding sharpness provides
for minimal puncture pain. High blood flow by low hydraulic resistance is
ensured due to the excellent streamline design of the blood path and ultra-thin
wall cannula tube. The slit-shaped vent at the bevel of arterial needle prevents
initial lesions by suctioning of arterial needles.
Ultra-thin silicone coating of BIONIC fistula needles avoid
adverse blood-steel interaction and provide desirable lubrication for smooth
insertion and withdraws fistula needles are available in variety of
configurations, packaging and sterilization 14G to 18 G, needle length of 15,
20, 25 and 40mm, tubing length of 150, 300, or 500mm, ethylene oxide or gamma
ray sterilized.
The small, compact HEMO RO 3000 is ideal for the single user at home, and for
acurate emergency use.
DWA has designed the HEMO RO 3000 to take account of the specialized needs of
domestic users. Its lightweight construction and smooth-running castors mean
that it can easily be moved from room to room or to a different site. The system
provides 50 I/h permeate at 12 degree centigrade feedwater, with 2 bar outlet
pressure (minimum inlet pressure 1.5 bar). For total patient safety,
microprocessor controls constantly monitor the system functions and there is an
easy-to-read display indicating operational status. The HEMO RO 3000 is also
very quiet - an important consideration in a residential environment.
Disinfection of the system is simple, due to the automatic sanitisation
programme. A compact pre-filtration unit is available, and there is an optional
pre-treatment softener for areas where the feedwater hardness levels exceed 400
ppm.
